Datang Everbright City is a north-south oriented Tang-style pedestrian street, with a central axis of approximately 1.5 kilometers, stretching southward from the North Square of the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda. The design incorporates the Tang dynasty’s neighborhood block pattern as the framework for a commercial street, with Tang-style buildings on both sides and a series of themed sculptures and squares in the middle.

What truly makes this street stand out are the performances: tumbling doll performers, Tang-style music and dance, levitating sculptures, and performance art scattered throughout the street, with a fixed schedule. If you want to see the tumbling doll, you need to reserve a spot in advance, as crowds can form several layers deep.
Lighting Displays and Night Scenery
The lighting design along the entire street is unified, with eave contour lights and ground projections, paired with floor tiles featuring Tang dynasty poetry. When there are fewer people, photos of the eaves look best; when it’s crowded, you’ll mostly capture people in your shots.
Connection with the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda
The northern end is adjacent to the music fountain at the North Square of the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda. A standard route is: climb the pagoda in the evening → watch the fountain → walk south along Everbright City → finish at Qujiang Pool.
