Great Waterfall · Water Curtain Cave · Steep Slope Pond · Tianxing Bridge
Huangguoshu is the largest waterfall group in China: the main waterfall is 77.8 meters high and 101 meters wide, with a Water Curtain Cave behind it that can be passed through; the surrounding steep Slope Pond and Tianxing Bridge each require half a day to visit. Destination Details
Huangguoshu offers the most spectacular "volume of water" in China: the Baishui River plunges into a deep pool here, and the Water Curtain Cave allows visitors to view from behind the waterfall. The karst landscape in Guizhou further creates two completely different water scenes upstream and downstream: Duopo Pond and Tianxing Bridge.
Main Highlights
Huangguoshu Waterfall
With a width of 101 meters, its roar can be heard several miles away at peak flow, making it one of the largest waterfalls in Asia.
Water Curtain Cave
A natural cave behind the waterfall that allows you to look out from behind the water curtain. Raincoats are essential.
Duopo Pond Waterfall
A 105-meter-wide curtain waterfall; the place where the four disciples in the finale of "Journey to the West" walked past.
Tianxing Bridge
A stone forest on water and calcified beaches, taking about 2.5 hours to walk through.
