Hong Kong Travel Guide
Victoria Harbour · Victoria Peak · Lamma Island · Cha Chaan Teng
Hong Kong, China is the most convenient gateway for Chinese people to enter and exit China: the night view of Victoria Harbour, the density seen from Victoria Peak, the street scale from Central to Western District, and the ubiquitous cha chaan tengs. This site organizes information on the length of stay, Octopus cards and MTR routes, and choices for outlying islands.
This site only handles information compilation and itinerary design; prices and bookings are based on final confirmation.
Destination Details
For Chinese travelers, Hong Kong, China, almost has no barriers in language or food: the silk-stocking milk tea, wonton noodles, and pineapple bun at a cha chaan teng are often the first and last meals many people have when returning home. Its value lies in its "density"—within half an hour, you can walk from the glass curtain walls of the International Financial Center to the stilt houses of Tai O, a type of transition that cannot be done in other cities.
Highlights
Victoria Harbour
The Symphony of Lights at 8 PM every night connects the buildings on both sides of the harbor with a band of light, with different viewing angles from Tsim Sha Tsui and Central.
The Peak
The Peak Tram opened in 1888, and Sky Terrace 428 at the Peak Galleria is the highest point to overlook Victoria Harbour and the Kowloon Peninsula.
Central and the Mid-Levels Escalator
The world's longest outdoor escalator system, lined with restaurants in SoHo, PMQ, and long-established herbal tea shops along the way.
Lamma Island
30 minutes by ferry from Central, the Family Trail passes through two fishing villages, ending at the seafood street in Yung Shue Wan.
Tai O Fishing Village
Stilt houses on the northwest of Lantau Island, still preserving the old lifestyle of drying shrimp paste and taking boat tours around the village.
