The first half is the smoky atmosphere of Chengdu, and the second half is the water colors of Jiuzhaigou. Two completely different Sichuans are connected in one trip.

    16:00 Kuanzhai Alley, three old streets from the Qing Dynasty. If you want to see the architecture and courtyard textures, come in the morning; if you want to experience the atmosphere, come in the evening.
    18:30 Dinner on Kuixinglou Street, this street is more local than Kuanzhai Alley.

    Daily detail08:00 Visit Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. Be sure to arrive early: pandas are most active in the cooler morning; around 9 a.m. you can see them eating and moving, after noon they mostly sleep.
    11:30 Lunch.
    14:00 Wuhou Shrine, the only shrine in China honoring both emperor and minister; the garden area is very quiet.
    16:00 Jinli, looks beautiful when the lanterns light up at night.
    Tip: Please keep quiet inside the park, do not use flash photography.

    Daily detail09:30 Visited Heming Teahouse in People's Park, bamboo chairs, gaiwan tea, ear cleaning—just a little time to understand Chengdu.

    Afternoon flight to Jiuzhai Huanglong Airport (about 1 hour), or a land loop route (about 8 hours, with landforms along the way).
    17:30 Arrive at Goukou to check-in.
    Tip: Goukou is about 2000 meters above sea level; rest early in the evening.

    09:00 Rizegou: Bamboo Arrow Lake, Panda Lake, Wuhua Lake, Pearl Beach, and Nuorilang Waterfall. Wuhua Lake is the most colorful spot in the entire scenic area. In the morning, the light is cool and the colors are clear.
    12:30 Lunch at Nuorilang Visitor Center.
    14:00 Zewa Valley: Changhai and Five-Color Pool, the highest gully in the scenic area.
    17:30 Exit the valley.

    Daily detail08:30 Enter the park and walk through Shuzheng Valley: Bonsai Beach, Reed Sea, Shuzheng Cluster Sea, Shuzheng Waterfall, Tiger Lake. This gully is densely packed with lakes and has a gentle boardwalk, suitable for walking slowly.
    12:30 Lunch.
    14:00 Make-up photos along the boardwalk at spots where the previous day's lighting was poor.
    17:00 Exit the valley.
    Tip: No aircraft are allowed inside the ditch; no going down to the water outside the boardwalk.

  6. DestinationJiuzhaigou → Huanglong → Chengdu

    About 130 kilometers in 1 hour of flight
    Daily detail08:00 Depart for Huanglong.
    10:30 Arrive (altitude about 3200–3600 meters). Huanglong is a massive open-air travertine ladder pool, completely different from Jiuzhaigou's terrain.
    11:00 Choose to ascend the cable car, walk down (save energy), or walk the entire route.
    13:00 Lunch.
    14:30 Depart and return; after the flight to Chengdu, the group disperses.
    Note: Huanglong is at a higher altitude and more noticeable. If your stamina and time are limited, you may skip this and switch to Jiuzhaigou Day 3.
