In the water towns of Jiangnan, Wuzhen is the most exquisite, Zhouzhuang is the most commercial, Tongli is the quietest, while what makes Xitang special is that people still live there: clothes drying under the corridors, and someone washing vegetables by the riverside. This sense of daily life is something other water towns cannot offer.
