Changbai Mountain Travel Guide
Heaven Lake · Changbai Waterfall · Underground Forest · Hot Springs
Heaven Lake of Changbai Mountain is the deepest crater lake in China. Whether you can see it depends entirely on the weather: it is recommended to reserve one day at the top of the mountain, stay two nights in Erdao Baihe at the foot of the mountain, for three to four days. In winter, you can add Wanda Ski Resort.

Destination Details
Changbai Mountain is the highest mountain range in Northeast Asia and is also a sacred mountain for the Manchu people. The highlight of Heaven Lake lies in "whether you can see it or not" — the moment the clouds part, the blue surface of the crater lake suddenly appears at your feet. This uncertainty is part of its charm.
