Anhui Tourism Routes

Huangshan is the standard image of “Chinese mountains” in the minds of Chinese people: strange pines, unusual rocks, seas of clouds, and hot springs. The villages of Hongcun and Xidi at the foot of the mountain have perfectly preserved Hui-style architecture and water systems. Further north, Mount Jiuhua is the place of practice for Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. This site arranges Anhui into 4 days for Huangshan and Hongcun, and 6 days if adding Mount Jiuhua.

How to arrange a route in Anhui

We divide Anhui into three ready-made routes, covering short, medium, and long durations. Routes within the same province can be freely combined: if time is tight, take the shortest route; to explore more deeply, combine two routes.

Travel reminders

• Popular attractions (Forbidden City, Mogao Caves, Jiuzhaigou, Zhangjiajie, etc.) have real-name admission limits. It is recommended to book 15–30 days in advance.
• High-speed train tickets are released 15 days before departure. During peak season, they sell out on the first day, so make sure to set a reminder.
• High-altitude routes (Tibet, Qinghai, Western Sichuan) require a health statement. It is recommended to take Rhodiola 7 days in advance.
• For seniors over 60 and children under 1.2 meters, please note at the time of booking. Ticket prices and bedding arrangements are different.
