Fujian has two completely different faces: along the coastline, Xiamen and Quanzhou are the starting points of the Maritime Silk Road; inland, Nanjing and Yongding have Hakka roundhouses built with rammed earth; in the north, Wuyi Mountains are known for tea and Danxia landforms. This site plans Fujian as 4 days for Xiamen and Tulou, and 6 days including Wuyi Mountains.

How to plan routes in Fujian

We have divided Fujian into 6 ready-made routes, covering short, medium, and long durations. Routes within the same province can be freely combined: if time is tight, take the shortest route; to explore deeply, connect two routes together.

Pre-trip reminders

• Popular attractions (Forbidden City, Mogao Caves, Jiuzhaigou, Zhangjiajie, etc.) have real-name ticket limits; it is recommended to book 15–30 days in advance.
• High-speed train tickets go on sale 15 days before departure; during peak season, they sell out on the first day, so set a reminder.
• For high-altitude routes (Tibet, Qinghai, western Sichuan), a health certificate is required; it is recommended to take Rhodiola 7 days in advance.
• For seniors over 60 and children under 1.2 meters, please note when booking, as ticket prices and beds are arranged separately.
