Shandong Travel Routes

Shandong combines the "sage" with the "ocean": the Confucius Temple and Mansion in Qufu, the Mount Tai Fengchan ceremony in Tai'an, Baotu Spring in Jinan, and the German-style old town and beer in Qingdao. All routes are within two hours by high-speed train. This site arranges Shandong into a 4-day "Ji-Tai-Qu" itinerary and a 6-day itinerary adding Qingdao.

• Popular attractions (Forbidden City, Mogao Caves, Jiuzhaigou, Zhangjiajie, etc.) have real-name entry limits, it is recommended to book 15–30 days in advance.
• High-speed train tickets go on sale 15 days before departure, and sell out on the first day during peak season, so be sure to set a reminder.
• Plateau routes (Tibet, Qinghai, Western Sichuan) require a health declaration, and it is recommended to take Rhodiola 7 days in advance.
• For seniors over 60 and children under 1.2 meters, please note when booking, as ticket prices and beds have special arrangements.
