The 3,000 stone pillars of Zhangjiajie are the landscape in China that looks least like China. The observation decks at Tianzi Mountain and Yuanjiajie require choosing good weather; the Tuojiang River night view and stilted buildings in Phoenix Ancient Town reveal another side of Western Hunan, while Changsha wraps it up with flavored crayfish and Wenheyou. Travel reminders

• Popular attractions (Forbidden City, Mogao Caves, Jiuzhaigou, Zhangjiajie, etc.) have real-name admission limits. It is recommended to book 15–30 days in advance.
• High-speed train tickets go on sale 15 days before departure. Tickets for peak season sell out on the first day, so make sure to set reminders.
• Plateau routes (Tibet, Qinghai, Western Sichuan) require health documents. It is recommended to take Rhodiola 7 days in advance.
• For seniors over 60 and children under 1.2 meters, please note when booking; ticket prices and beds are arranged separately.
